ABOUT SURF AND STAY SA

How it Started

Hey, my name is Janick the founder of SurfandStaySA. Born in Switzerland to an Italian father and Swiss mother, I have always had a passion for sport, and an attraction to the ocean. The first time I stood on a Surfboard was in 2016. I booked a Surf-trip from Switzerland and went to Mossel Bay, South Africa. The love, or "SURF FEVER" as I call it was born after I caught my first wave. Eventually the trip had to come to an end and I had to go back.

Once I got back though I didn't stop thinking about the experience and in 2017 I decided to move to South Africa for good, Switzerland was never the place to be for me. I wanted the ocean.

The surf trip, to this day is still an experience I recommend to everyone and one that I would do again and again years later.

This is where the "Surf and Stay SA" idea came from. Personally, I am not an instructor, but the past 3+ years have given me the opportunity to meet with some amazing people. From Surf instructors, surfers, business owners up to property owners. Of course all people I know well and trust. My goal hasn't stopped me from going on surf trips and you might see me on the next one.

Our mission, provide you with an authentic and unique south African surf lifestyle experience.

How we do this, is by connecting these amazing people I have met to surfers, digital nomads and travelers just like you that seek a new adventure. And in all honesty, I just wanna go on another surf trip myself. Let's do this.
